    Update January 2021

On January 4, 2021, Governor Inslee announced his “Healthy Washington – Roadmap to Recovery” plan and outlined a phased, metric-based approach for the resumption of educational based athletics.

Based on the information in Governor Inslee’s plan, SPS middle school athletics start dates as well as sports offered are subject to change so that we can respond to infection rates and be as safe as possible.

    • The soonest Middle School Athletics could start is March 29, 2021, however, it could be a later date.
    • When Athletics begin, we project that the first sports will be Boys and Girls Soccer and Girls Volleyball.
    • In order to participate in any Athletics, students must have completed ALL forms, including a sports physical.
    • The Athletic Office also urges families to remain aware of COVID-19 protocols surrounding travel and quarantines.

We will notify you as soon as we receive changes and updates.  Athletic Forms can be picked up and dropped off during Library pick up times, Wednesdays from 11-1 and Thursdays from 4-6 in front of the school.

Students must have an up to date Physical on file.  Sports physicals can be done through our student health center, NeighborCare, your personal physician, and some local Bartell Drugs.

Questions can be sent to eaglestaff@seattleschools.org .  Please contact Neighborcare to register for and schedule a sports physical appointment

    PREVIOUS UPDATES:

The District Athletic office is working hard to determine the start of Middle School sports seasons.  Tentatively, three shortened sports seasons will begin sometime after January 4,  2021.  Student athletes and families can prepare for participation by obtaining a sports physical and completing District athletic paperwork.  We will have Athletic registration packets along with specific sport release forms during Library pick up times Wednesdays 11-1 and Thursdays 4-6.  Completed packets can also be returned during library times.  Information will be updated as it is finalized.  Questions can be sent to eaglestaff@seattleschools.org .  Please contact Neighborcare to register for and schedule a sports physical appointment
