Music gives wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything.

Try to be a rainbow in someone else's cloud.

Stop hanging out with people who tell you what you want to hear.  Hang out with people who tell you the truth.

    Dear Eagle Staff Community,

Above are just a few of the quotes that students and teachers have chosen to adorn their classroom doors as part of our weekly Social/Emotional Learning lessons called Raven Support & Success (RSS).  All students have RSS lessons on Wednesdays in their 4th period classes during a set-aside RSS period, and to start the year we have been focusing on our the core commitments we share as a community of scholars, artists, and activists to "SOAR."  We agree to show ownership, academic focus, and respect and responsibility.  To build community and reinforce our expectations for building a safe and positive climate, students and teachers are decorating "SOAR" doors and they are fantastic!  Watch for images of completed doors in upcoming communications.  Thank you students and teachers for connecting, sharing, and creating.

Here are a few more things that are happening in our community:

    1. Thank you to our PTSA and to all of you for your contributions to our Annual Giving Campaign.  Your gifts will make it possible for us to continue to thrive as a community!
    2. Thank you to our PTSA, students and families, and to Ms. Pearl & Mr. Cordell for a fantastic first-ever 6th grade Bingo night.
    3. Congratulations to our Raven Scholar-Athletes as they continue to build skills, team-work, and sportsmanship on our Soccer and Ultimate teams. Come on out to support our Ravens this Saturday.  You can check out game times here.
    4. Thursday October 24th in the morning we will have Picture Retakes.  This is for students who did not previously have a picture taken and for students who purchased pictures and would like to have new ones taken.  Students must bring their current pictures to the photographers in order to have a retake on Thursday.
    5. Be sure to register your student at our School-Based Health Center, with services provided by Neighborcare.  Registration forms and information are available in our main office and in the Neighborcare office, located by our nurse's office.
    6. We want to give a huge shout out to our new school nurse, Jennifer Kirwan.  She does so much for our students and families!
    7. Be sure to sign up to receive the PTSA Newsletter and join our PTSA.
    8. Thank you to our new Art teacher Ms. Wambaugh for building a true community of artists and supporting students as they build skills and independence.  We're so glad you're a Raven.
    9. Are you interested in being part of our Safety or our School Climate committee?  Contact Ms. Campbell at macampbell@seattleschools.org for more information.

Thank you for sharing your students with us and for supporting the work we do to build a bright future for our students.

    Warmly,

    Marni Campbell, Principal

    Robert Eagle Staff Middle School

    October 18th

Hello!  Here’s what’s happening at Eagle Staff.

    1. Next Thursday October 24th is picture retake day.  If you have not had your picture taken yet, you will receive a pass in your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd period class to report to the stage to have your picture taken.  If you want your picture retaken, you must bring your current picture packet to return in order to have your picture retaken.  You will come down to the stage for your retake by grade level.  6th graders will report during 1st period, 7th graders during 2nd period, and 8th graders during 3rd period.  Remember to bring your pictures if you want a retake.
